For those who are owned by Cats know that our purring angels have some interesting ways to show they too care for their humans. Want to read you cat well? Look for 10 signs to know if your kitty is swooning over you.

  1. Follow that tail: A cat’s tail is like a little messenger carrying the message of love for you. If the cat wraps its tail around you it is trying to show you its acceptance. Also touching/stroking its tail on you is like it is asserting its ownership on you.

According to Adi Hovav senior feline behavior counselor at the ASPCA adoption center, when a cat raises it rudder up and curls its top resembling a question mark, the feline is indicating satisfaction and approval. It’s like a thumbs-up in kitty lingo. Image http://www.dailymail.co.uk

  2. Sleeping by your side: Felines always prefer a cozy and safe spot to snooze. They want to feel the least bit vulnerable while lying unaware of their surroundings. So if that chosen safe spot is next to you or your lap, feel glad of the love you silently receive from the snoozing cat.
  3. Notice those eyes: That slow blink of your kitty’s eyes is a flying kiss for its special someone. If your cat blinks slowly while making an eye contact with you it’s not just kissing you with its eyes but also completely trusts you.

  4. The kneading behavior: Kneading is when your cat moves its front paws up and down against you. This behavior is adopted by a nursing kitten when it kneads its mommy to stimulate the production of milk, when an adult cat repeats this kneading behavior with you, it is trying to re-live those warm and joyous memories from its kitten-hood and simultaneously expressing its admiration for you
  5. Licking you: A cat grooming a human is quite rare. However if your kitty considers you worthy of its licks consider yourself the `chosen one’. If it’s licking your hair or ears it is simply lavishing you with its affection. Cats groom one another to exchange their scents and relieve stress.

So if your feline is licking you it considers you its own species and a confidante. You can return this favor with softly brushing your pet’s hair. Image http://www.catster.com

  6. Precious Presents: Yes! Cats are known to offer gifts to their favorite someone. Even a domesticated cat may revert to its natural hunting urge every once in a while. And if its shares that little dead rat with you, consider yourself lucky.

You may not like your present but on the flip side your cat considers you its true friend when it offers you the hunters trophy. Image: http://www.kazak.com

  7. Does it show you its tummy? If yes, then it completely trusts you and feels secure in your presence. This feeling of safety means a lot to a feline. When your cat rolls on the floor and spreads out with its belly facing you, it is just exerting its trust in you.
