“World’s Greenest dog” passes away but has left a colorful legacy behind him | Pets World tribute to “Tubby”.

Tubby will always be remembered for his impressive contribution to the environment and waste management. The Torfean neighborhood in South East Wales UK bid its final adieu to Tubby on Tuesday, with its death at the age of 13. Tubby a.k.a the world’s greenest dog found a place for itself in the Guinness Book of world Records in the year 2011. The dog entered the Guinness Book for its undying pursuit of sniffing out & picking with its mouth the used plastic bottles on his everyday walks, thereby crushing them and handing them to his master Sandra Gilmore to be sent for recycling. According to Sandra Gilmore her much-adored Tubby amassed more than fifty thousand redundant bottles during his lifetime, thus helped to bring about greener and cleaner environs to live in.

We at petsworld pay our most sincere homage to our canine hero; Noble creatures like Tubby or service dogs around the world including the Famous Surfing Dog of Australia only affirm our opinion that Dogs in particular and pets in general can contribute much more to our society than they currently are, if we are willing to accept that change and elevate our compassion for animals.
