Many pet lovers prefer to have fluffy dogs because they are such admirable and adorable animals. These lovely dogs require more time for grooming and are not advisable for people with allergies. The fluffy dog breeds comes in different sizes and shapes, but one thing they all have in common is that they all are soft. Many of these dogs are blessed with a double coat and their under coat provides insulation and warmth, while their top coat protects them from the elements. This type of coat is found in the breed of dogs with a history of living in colder climates.  Here are six choices for the fluffiest dog breeds:

1.Pomeranian

Pomeranians are small toy sized dogs and one of the most popular fluffy dog breeds in the world. They have thick double coat. The outer coat of this breed is long and harsh and undercoat is soft, thick, and short. These small dogs come in a variety coat colours and patterns. They are proud, lively dogs that are intelligent and eager to learn.

2.American Eskimo

This fluffy dog breed comes in three sizes- toy, standard and miniature. These white dogs have a thick, white, undercoat and a curly tail. They are affectionate and loving dog, and highly intelligent and very eager to please. This personality of American Eskimos makes them an easy dog to train. Despite its name, the American Eskimo is not from the Alaska.

3.Keeshond

The Keeshond breed of dogs has curled tail and a plush two-layer coat. They are perhaps the fluffiest looking dogs. These dogs have a long, straight, harsh outer coat and a downy, thick undercoat. They are active, intelligent and outgoing and full of personality. They are a very affectionate breed of dogs who likes to be part of the family activities and love everyone.

4.Chow Chow

The Chows are sturdy dogs that have huge ruff around their neck which gives them a lion like appearance. They have very dense coat that comes in two varieties, rough or smooth. They are well mannered and quiet dogs, devoted and affectionate to their family members but reserved with the strangers.

5.Samoyed

These dogs have a thick, profuse double coat and their undercoat is short, soft and thick with a harsh straight outer coat. This breed of dogs has a rough around the neck and shoulders that frames its head. They are easygoing, friendly and playful dogs who are gentle and love everyone. They are much too friendly to be a watchdog; however, their bark will alert you to the presence of any stranger.

6.Bichon Frise

They are white fluffy, little dogs and are soft to the touch. These dogs have a long, curly tail and are hypoallergenic. These affectionate dogs are generally very sociable. They love children and are known for their energetic and playful nature. These intelligent and charming dogs are appreciated by the owners for their happy temperament and easy trainability.
